DETERMINING PRICE & GRADE

To start the process, the consignor will ship the marbles to me via USPS or carrier of choice. 

Once your marbles are received, we will work closely together to determine the proper grade and value of the marble. I reserve the right to have final say on the grade of the marble.
 

I start all my marbles at $9.99 with no reserve. If a marble does not receive a bid it will be re-listed.

If a consignor needs a certain amount for the marble, I will be happy to set a reserve amount on eBay.   If the marble sells, the reserve price is deducted from the final selling price. If it is not met and does not sell you are charged the reserve fee anyway. This can get quite expensive so use reserves sparingly.

There is a minimum 5.00 charge for each marble if it sells for less than $25.00. This fee applies if the reserve price is not met and you wish not to re-list the marble on eBay or for any listing that is removed for any reason by the consignee.

The consignor will be notified by email when their marbles are added for sale on eBay.

FEES

Each individual marble sold will have a 20% commission fee deducted from the final sale price plus all  PayPal service fees if applicable. eBay fees are included in the commission fee including initial listing fees and final value fees.

If the consignor wishes to pay the extra fees, listing upgrades such as bold type, subtitles, gallery featured, etc. can be used. Standard gallery is always included.

Shipping is paid by the seller and I will ship the items personally in a timely manner. Upon receipt of payment, the marble will be shipped USPS Priority Mail within 2 days.

Insurance is not required by buyers but is recommended. All marbles over $25 will be required to have proof of delivery added to the shipping amount. BuyMarbles.com will not be responsible for lost marbles that are mailed without insurance or proof of delivery.

Once a marble sells the buyer has 7 days to complete the transaction. Preferred payment is through PayPal, as they can pay instantly by credit card or savings account. If they choose to pay by check or money order payment is expected to arrive within 7 days.
 

The buyer will have 7 days to return the marble if they are unhappy with it for any reason. Consignors will be paid after the 7 day return period has expired. We pay by Check or PayPal, whichever you prefer.

WHAT TYPE OF MARBLES DO YOU SELL?

We sell all types of marbles whether vintage or contemporary. We do ask that the marbles grade from near-mint to mint condition. Preferred marbles are pre-1950's for vintage, and post 1980's for contemporary.  If you have questions about whether your marbles qualify, please send digital images by email.

Please do not send us marbles that grade lower than near-mint. They will not be returned to you unless postage is paid for by the sender. We will gladly answer any questions prior to you sending the marbles to make sure they meet these requirements. Digital images through email are acceptable.


PLEASE NOTE:

I do not allow shill bidding of any type. Please do not bid on your own auctions or have friends do this for you if they have no intention of buying the marble. I also do not allow new bidders with 0 or negative feedback to bid on my auctions. If they do, their bids will be cancelled and they will be banned from any further bidding.
